The garlic-head vases have a spherical body, stand on a slightly waisted, broad foot, and end in a neck with a trumpet-shaped mouth. The vases are painted in blue with a chinoiserie decoration. Around the bodies is an oriental landscape with six Chinese figures, one of whom is on horseback. The necks are decorated with stylised double-leaf tulip motifs, the garlic-heads with flowers and leaf scrolls. The mouths are painted with pointed ornaments. Around the foot of each vase are eight stylised leaves, alternating with eight smaller ones.
